Holding a birthday party just comes with the territory of being a parent. It is one of those things that parents either love or hate.

There is no getting around the fact that sooner or later, it will happen.

Some parents thrive on having numerous bundles of energy running around the house. For others, it seems like an absolute nightmare.

There are so many things to think about including the party theme, games, not to mention what food is going to be served. No wonder so many parents start to have a mini meltdown at just the thought of it.

Catering for a kids party however doesn’t have to be overly stressful. If it is planned enough in advance you can be ready to go on the party day without too much stress.

I have gathered an awesome selection of party food ideas for kids that are going to make your life SO much easier.

Keep this list somewhere safe as you can use it again and again for all the kids parties you cater for.

After all. A party wouldn’t be a party without dessert.

Super Easy Kids Party Finger Food Ideas

1. Fairy Bread

Source: Smart Party Planning

Fairy bread is an absolute essential for the food party table (or at least it is here in Australia). You also couldn’t find anything easier to make and the kids always go nuts for it.

It’s tricky to know whether this is sweet or savory, but give the amount of sugar in the sprinkles, I am going for sweet!

Sprinkles and bread are not something you would normally put together, but the kids don’t care and they always gobble it up!

2. Tiny Teddy Cards

These tiny teddy cars are always a winner at kids parties and you never see left overs.

They are super cute to make with milky way and smarties.

I also love how you can play around with the look of them, just by changing the color wheels.

3. Chocolate Crackles

I am yet to meet a kid that doesn’t like chocolate crackles.

The kids love them, and they are so easy to make. I mean really, chocolate and cornflakes, what’s not to love!

4. Hot Chocolate Tea Cup Biscuits

I love how easy and simple these hot chocolate tea cup biscuits are to make.

Originally I made them for Christmas, but they would be great for any kids party. You can also swap the hot chocolate topping for chocolate freckles for a different look.

Warning though as you will need to make a hug batch as they don’t last for long tho!
