Kids party food is simply the best.
Not only does it look adorable but it is always super tasty. It must be to do with the simple ingredients, but I always find that kids party food is always just as much a winner for the adults as it is for the kids.
Take these tiny teddy cars for example. They are super cute, and they just scream “eat me”.
What’s even better is that they involve NO cooking and can be whipped up SO easily. In fact they are so easy the kids would enjoy making them too.
Ingredients You Will Need To Make Tiny Teddy Racing Cars
You won’t need a lot of ingredients to make these tiny teddy cars. I do recommend having everything to hand and laid out before you start assembling the cars.
Gather the following;
- Bite sized chocolate bars. Milky Way, Mars or Snickers bars (just be careful of nut allergies if you use the Snickers bars)
- Smarties
- Arnotts Tiny Teddy’s
- Packet of Life Savers
- Chocolate Fudge pen
Tiny Teddy Cars In 5 Simple Steps
Step 1: Lay all the ingredients out so that they are easy to assemble. Whilst they are not hard to make, it would get a bit fiddly if you are not organised.
Step 2: There are two options for how you attach the tiny teddy into his cars.
Option 1: Cut a slit into the chocolate bar and ease the tiny teddy into it. Be aware that this could cause some breakages and splitting to the cars.
Option 2: (My preferred option). Cut off the teddy’s legs (and eat). The teddy will then just sit nicely on the top of the car using some chocolate fudge to keep it in place. The fudge acts like a glue and also adds extra chocolate deliciousness.
Step 3: Place some fudge on each of the smarties. Once again the fudge is being used as a glue, so don’t add too much. Stick the smarties to the sides of the chocolate bar to look like the wheels.
Step 4: Cut the lifesaver in half. Place some chocolate fudge on the bottom and fix in place in front of the teddy. This becomes the car steering wheel.
If preferred you could use another smartie as the steering wheel instead of the lifesaver. For these tiny teddy cars I used musk lifesavers.
Step 5: Place the tiny teddy racing cars onto a tray and put them in the fridge to allow the fudge to set.
In just a few simple steps you are going to have a kids party treat that not only looks great, but tastes amazing. They will be a winner every single time.
