It is really feeling like spring around here because we have these pretty yellow wildflowers popping up all over the place. I love seeing flowers all around, who doesn’t!
Seeing the wild flowers inspired me to make these easy spring flower cupcakes.
I have seen some flower cupcakes with the pretty piped flowers, but for some reason my piped flowers don’t turn out to be quite as pretty as the ones you see from the professionals on the internet.
Luckily these flower cupcakes are fail proof, which is just the way I like them!

You don’t need to know any fancy piping techniques or need special decorating tips. You just frost the cupcakes with a knife, put on some candy and they are ready.
For the frosting you can use white like I did or green to look like grass. You can also use any colors depending on the candy you have or can find.

These flower cupcakes are super simple to make and don’t need any fancy ingredients. Ensure that you have the following easy to hand.
- White cupcake
- White or green frosting
- Pink or yellow candy melts
- M&Ms (I used the Easter mix) or jelly beans

These spring flower cupcakes are probably going to be the easiest flower cupcakes you will find on the internet.
You don’t need to have any baking skills to make these look amazing.
Kids will enjoy creating them, and the end result is a super sweet cupcake.
In just four simple steps, these cupcakes will be decorated and ready to eat.
Step 1: Bake your cupcakes of choice and set aside to cool
Step 2: Once cooled, frost the top of the cupcakes with a knife.
Step 3: Place a pink or yellow candy melt in the center of the cupcake.
Step 4: Around the edge of the candy melt place either M&Ms or jelly beans.
Make sure they are lined up close together so that they look like the flower petals.
The Easter M&M pastel colors worked perfectly for spring flowers.
