Simple Beach Themed Cupcakes

Summer is one of the best times of year to throw a party. I love pool parties and beach themed parties and these simple summer beach themed cupcakes are perfect for summer parties.

If you can’t go to the beach, you can bring the beach to you in cupcake form.  Luckily I’m getting some real beach time in this summer but if you can’t get the real thing a beach themed party is a fun option.

Growing up we always had a beach party to celebrate summer and everyone loved it! I made some beach cupcakes with little candy beach towels. I also made some with cute drink summer umbrellas. You also have to have some fish in the ocean! The fun thing with these is you can make them your own and make them all a little different. Plus, they are simple to make.

What you need to make your beach themed cupcakes:

• Plain cupcakes
• White frosting
• Blue frosting
• Graham Cracker crumbs
• Fish sprinkles
• Drink umbrellas or Airheads Xtreme Bites Candy Rainbows

Start by frosting one half of the cupcake with white frosting. Then dip it in a bowl of Graham Cracker crumbs.

Frost the other half with blue frosting. Just spread it on with a knife. Sprinkle a few fish sprinkles on top of the blue side.

To make little beach towels cut up the Airhead rainbows into small pieces. Then line them on top of the Graham Cracker sand side.

You can also just add a drink umbrella into the sand side.
