Whilst this is a busy time of year for everyone, it certainly doesn’t mean that they have to give up having a birthday party.
There are two ways that you can tackle a birthday party for kids at Christmas.
The first is to steer completely away from the festive season and create a birthday party like you would at any other time of the year.

The second is to create a super special festive birthday party.
The festive birthday party is the category that the following ideas all fall into. These Christmas birthday party ideas all follow a festive theme, but will still make your child feel like a million dollars.

Christmas Birthday Party Ideas That Involve Baking
Baking birthday parties are always a hit with the kids, so simply change up the theme slightly to give it a festive feel.
These following Christmas baking birthday party ideas will be a real hit.
1. Gingerbread Making Party
There is nothing that says Christmas quite like the smell of gingerbread.
If this is a favorite of your child, you might like to consider holding a gingerbread making party.
This can be undertaken in two ways:
- Purchase some gingerbread kits. (Think gingerbread houses or trains). The kids can enjoy assembling and then decorating their kits, then take them home afterwards.
- Let the kids bake their own gingerbread into either houses or simply just as different shaped cookies. The kids can then enjoy decorating and eating their cookies taking home anything that is left.

If you are not keen to hold your kids birthday party at home, there are plenty of ideas that can be undertaken out of the home whilst also keeping the festive theme.

Most places allow you to bring some decorations, so bring some birthday decorations that hit the snow and Christmas theme, like snowflake balloons, tablecloths etc.

This party is great for tweens or teens who want to have a more sophisticated birthday party. It can be held either at home, in the garden or at a hired venue.

A sledding party would be great if you live in the snow at Christmas and have access to some hills.
