This winter wonderland party submitted by Dunja of Wunderschoen-gemacht, was held for her daughter’s 5th birthday.

Whether you are in the midst of summer or winter, if you love the snow, this would make an adorable party theme. I love how Dunja put this together, really creating a winter wonderland theme, complete with gorgeous snowmen of course!

Dunja said about the party planning: “This was the party I held for my sweet daughter for her 5th birthday celebration.  She loves the snow so much.

The sweet-glittery snowman cards were used as invitations with glittery confetti snow and ice crystals filling the transparent envelopes.

To decorate the table I used the infinite design possibilities of our metal chandelier. I punched out and then stitched chains, glittering confetti, and improvised snowmen the chandelier became really wintry.  The snowmen I discovered accidentally in the DIY store which were magnificent!

The silvery bodies fit perfectly with the color concept. I removed the hideous noses and buttons, and replaced them with pretty accessories: star sequins, party glam, buttons, feathers, ribbons …. oh that was a fun! Everyone received a photo snow globe as their place card at the table, with a day and night side.

I used the same template as the snowmen for the invitations. At the end of the party each child replaced the photo with their own portrait. (Using the photos taken during the party… there were beaming faces: beautiful!)”

When you think of a winter wonderland you think of snow. When you think of snow, you think of snowmen. Right?

These gorgeous invitations were filled with both snow and snowmen!

Dunja filled the envelopes with confetti snow which would have made a fun snow scene for whoever opened the invite!

Talk about setting the scene!

Winter Wonderland Party Decorations

Simple party decoration can easily bring a theme to life.

Dunja created some absolutely gorgeous decorations for her winter wonderland party. I love the scattered snowballs, the glitter and the snowmen.

The candle lighting really helped create a magical feel to this party, and the chandelier is absolutely stunning. I love the use of the tissue paper pom poms and snow crystals.

The entire party feels frosty, wintry but ever so calming.

Winter Wonderland Party Food

Of course, the snowmen had to make an appearance on the cake at a winter wonderland party. How adorable does this one look.

Those snowmen almost look too cute to eat!

All the food was covered with snow and the snow crystals made from edible paper finished the look perfectly.

Winter Wonderland Party Favors

Dunja did a fantastic job of incorporating the party favors into the table decoration. Each child was given a snow globe to take home, which doubled as their place setting.

This looked amazing and all kids love snow globes!
