Ok, so I did promise you that this chocolate mousse recipe was a healthy one, and I’m sure you are still wondering how.
Well, it is simply made with frozen bananas, chocolate protein powder and natural yogurt.
Not a bit of naughtiness in sight!
Natural yogurt has so many benefits to us that it’s great to use in desserts if possible. Not only does natural yogurt have considerable nutritional value, but the probiotics found in it also provide considerable immune benefits, including increased production of antibodies to help fight disease.

The Healthy Goodness of Protein Powder
My hubby and I love baking with protein powder, especially as it contains the full compliment of trace minerals that your body needs.
It’s the perfect compliment to so many dishes.
Protein is absolutely essential to our bodies. Isn’t it great therefore that you can enjoy something normally as naughty as a chocolate mousse and it still be good for you.
It is also the protein that makes us feel fuller, so by having this as an awesome dessert you are also filling yourself up so that you won’t be snacking all night long.
It’s a total win win in my book.
This quick chocolate mousse recipe is therefore the best thing to grab when you have those evening munchies.
Say goodbye to the chocolate bar and hello to the chocolate mousse.
Plus, it looks and sounds so much more indulgent don’t you think?

This looks super interesting. I love chocolate mousse and have an incredible recipe that I got from my aunt, however it is ultra decadent and not very calorie-friendly. 🙂 Must give your recipe a try!

Oh I love decadent Marianne 🙂 It sounds surprising, but this mousse is actually incredibly chocolate rich, but not nasty on the waistline! It certainly doesn’t replace those super ozzing chocolaty mousse’s but it’s a good start, and one you can eat more often 🙂
Marianne says
Sounds good. Will be trying this weekend. 🙂
