It’s no secret that I love marshmallow pops. They are easy to make, taste great and can be made to suit so many different themes.
Whether it be for a birthday party or holiday celebration, you will be able to find a marshmallow pop to style accordingly.

How Long Do Marshmallow Pops Last?
Now that you have made your Halloween marshmallow pops, you might be wondering how long they will last for. Well that is a really great question!
The great news is that this party treat is one that you can make in advance, so you are super prepared for your upcoming celebration.
I normally make my marshmallow pops 1-2 days prior to the event, but we have sometimes had left over’s last for 1-2 weeks. (That’s when I have totally been over enthusiastic in the number of marshmallow pops that I have created).
At the end of the day, they are just marshmallows and chocolate, so they are not really going to go off. But your best bet is to consider eating them within a week of making them.
Can I Make Marshmallow Pops Ahead of Time?
As we have explained, marshmallow pops keep for quite a while, which makes them perfect for making ahead of time.
The marshmallow pops don’t even have to be kept in the fridge. They can be stored in an air tight container for a week or two and still look and taste great.
The chocolate coating over the marshmallows ensure that the marshmallow stays fresh underneath.
Just make sure that the marshmallow pops have completely set before you try and store them.
This means that marshmallow pops are the perfect party treat. Make them ahead of time, and then concentrate all your efforts at the last minute to other final party preparation.

Thank you for sharing. Which type of toping are you using – it seems very sticky and difficult for me to have the topping staying on the marshmallows?

I always use melted chocolate on the top of the marshmallows and then different decoration from there to make the pops look as you want them too. It can get a bit messy, but the more you make the easier it will become.
One trick is to spoon the chocolate over the marshmallow rather than dip it in. Then gently tap the excess chocolate off before standing on a tray. You will want to add any extra decoration before the chocolate sets.
