Creating a party table display can appear daunting. There are so many gorgeous sweet treats that help create a themed table, but actually putting them together can be a whole different story.

Cake pops are the perfect example of this. I LOVE how gorgeous they look and how they can be tailored to fit different things.

The problem with cake pops is that they are fiddly. Very very fiddly.

Urghh…..it gives a headache just thinking about it!

First you actually have to make the cake, and then you have to decorate them. That’s far too much work when there are 100 other things that need to be done for the party.

The problem is cake pops are amazing and I always used to feel that something was missing from my party tables.

I even bought a cake pop tray in my desire to make them, but yes you guessed it….that’s as far as it went.  In fact, that cake pop tray has now been sitting in my cupboard for the past 3 years!

The reality is that is where it is probably going to stay because now I have found something to replace cake pops.

That something is MARSHMALLOW POPS!!

You seriously wont regret learning how to make these, and the fact that they are super simple to make means that you will be making them for every party you have from now on!

My daughter absolutely loves them and they are the first thing that she requests for her party.

So, are you ready to learn how to make the most awesome party treat that the kids are going to absolutely love?

Ingredients You Will Need To Make Marshmallow Pops

Not only are marshmallow pops easy to make, but they don’t require many ingredients. Total bonus!

All you will need is the following:

  • Packet of marshmallows
  • Lollipop / Cake Pop Sticks
  • Chocolate (milk or white depending on your theme)
  • Sprinkles (if desired)

How To Make Marshmallow Pops In 7 Easy Steps

Step 1: Melt your chocolate in a bowl.

Make sure that your chocolate does not come into contact with any water droplets for the perfect melted chocolate every single time.

Melt chocolate over a pan

Step 2: Take one of your lollipop sticks and dip it into the chocolate.

You might feel included to skip this step, but I find that the marshmallow sticks to the stick much better with this tiny bit of chocolate, so skip it at your own peril!

Place stick in chocolate

Step 3: Place the tip of the lollipop stick (covered in chocolate) into the center of a marshmallow.

There is no need to worry if you see chocolate spillage at the top of the marshmallow.

Place stick into marshmallow

Step 4: Dip the marshmallow in chocolate and use a small spoon to ensure that the chocolate fully covers the marshmallow.

Tip: When I first started doing this, I wouldn’t use the spoon and kept swirling the marshmallow in the chocolate. The result was that the marshmallow melted from the heat of the chocolate and it kept falling off the stick. By using the spoon you can complete this step as quickly as possible ensuring that the marshmallow stays intact!

Spread chocolate over marshmallow

Step 5: Gently tap the marshmallow stick over the side of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate.

Step 6: Have your sprinkles ready in a bowl and using a spoon cover the marshmallow with the sprinkles.

I find that if you dip the marshmallow into the sprinkles all the chocolate is left in the bowl, so this is the quickest and easiest way to do it.

Sprinkles over marshmallow

Step 7: Place your marshmallow pop onto a lined baking tray and leave to cool.

That’s it your done! How easy was that!

Prepare Ahead of Time For No Fuss Party Preparation

Leave the marshmallow pops in the fridge to set and then they are good to go.

I always make my marshmallow pops the day before the party which means I am not rushing around on the day and all I need to do is set them up.

But, if you are short on time they could also be made a couple of days before and they will still be awesome.

They can be left in the fridge for a week and still taste fantastic.
