A cupcake shoppe birthday party has to be every child’s dream. Not only is this party beautifully styled, but everything tastes absolutely amazing.
This is one of those gorgeous party ideas that will quickly become one of your favorites.
Love everything sweet, pretty and feminine? You will adore this cupcake shoppe birthday party submitted by Justine of Pretty Little Vintage Melbourne.
This party is a true delight to the senses and is certainly one that favors the sweet tooth!
Justine said about the party planning: “This is a pink and teal cupcake shoppe themed first birthday for my niece Megan who is as cute as a cupcake!
Megan’s mom and I worked together to create a beautiful space. It featured a canopy style dessert table, a mini cupcake shoppe kid’s photo booth and a lemonade drink stand. It also featured a cupcake decorating station and an array of beautifully lined tables adorned with Tiffany chairs for the adults.
Instead of a traditional kids table, we opted to create a fun space for the kids to get involved in. The party also featured a kids cupcake decorating station.
We custom designed mini aprons which doubled up as chair covers for the decorating station. Kids went sprinkle crazy at the table with a variety of toppings and icing at their dispense.
Plain cupcakes were lined with pink and teal chevron liners and displayed on Martha Stewart’s 3-tiered doily lace cupcake stand.
Party hats were dollar shop hats that were transformed and decorated with teal fabric and flowers made out of mini cupcake liners”.
Cupcake Shoppe Birthday Party Decoration
The decoration for this cupcake shoppe birthday party is simply divine. The color scheme flows perfectly, with the desserts screaming “eat me”.
The decoration flows with ease and looks like you have walked right into a sweet temptation bakery!
Justine said “. Oversized clear polka balloons, teal tissue pom poms, astro turf and chevron prints contributed to the overall whimsical feel of the party. Printables & backdrop were designed by Megan’s talented mom.
The cupcake shoppe photobooth is an IKEA (SKYLTA) cardboard kids market stand that was transformed into Megan’s very own cupcake shoppe!
Printables were designed by Megan’s mom and adhered into the cardboard market stand to give it a beautiful pink & teal look. This was definitely a hit at the party as every kid had their go at being shop keeper and enjoyed the role play!
Baby washcloth cupcakes were used at the photo booth as props as well as custom labeled milk cartons
and mini cups.
I always love incorporating ideas which double up for purpose. In this party, we have used edible cupcake-in-a-jar favours as name placeholders for the adult tables.
These gorgeous pink ombre cupcakes were baked by Xiao by Crustz and packaged into cute little jars styled by Pretty Little Vintage Melbourne. Kids went home with gable boxes filled with baking goodies which were personalised with custom designed printable’s and a thank you note from Megan!”
Delicious Cupcake Party Food
What can I possible say about the desserts other than they look delicious. The gentle color scheme of the desserts also makes them look incredibly appealing and guests are certainly spoilt for choice.
If the cake, cupcakes and cookies are not enough to excite you, the chocolate flower pots surely win the day. They look incredibly adorable sitting on the side of the table.
Justine said “Our canopy dessert table featured a variety of fun cupcake themed desserts baked by two talented ladies Xiao by Crustz and Crumbs Macarons. The birthday cake was a delicious 2-tiered vanilla lemon cake decorated in chevron patterned fondant and a giant cupcake topper.
The dessert table also featured a variety of 3D cupcake cookie stacks. (Inspired by Sweet Sugar Belle’s tutorial). There were hand-piped cupcake shaped macarons, cupcake shaped iced cookies, cupcakes in a jar, cake pops, and cute chocolate flower pots with oreo crumbs used as ‘soil’.
The table also featured a selection of pink and teal colored candy displayed in adorable mini apothecary jars which guests helped themselves to at the end of the party to take home in chevron paper candy bags.
It was certainly a fun afternoon filled with cake, cake and more cake!”
