It happens reasonably regularly. The cry “mommy can we PLEASE bake something”.
There is one little voice in me that says “absolutely, this is perfect mother/daughter bonding time”.
Then there is that other little voice that screams “Nooooo…if we survive the actual baking, there is the cleaning up and that’s just one mess I don’t want to have to deal with today”.
It’s a tough call.
Meanwhile, all you can hear is “please mommy, please, pleeassseeee”.
Ok. Sometimes that first little voice has to win.
It’s these memories that she will remember right. The two of us working together in the kitchen, singing along to her favorite tunes and really there isn’t THAT much mess to clear up.
Ok, I’m kidding myself on the mess, but I’ll keep thinking about the happy memories.
Is that little voice screaming at you too?
Rest assured. These banana puffs are absolutely ideal for this situation.

However, if you want to treat the kids, this is a great way to do it.
For healthier options, it is probably better to consider a healthy banana cake or healthy chocolate coconut balls.
However if you are happy with the non-healthy element, then stay tuned for the recipe!
But let’s not be too harsh on them, because instead of using artificial flavors, the natural banana flavor comes from actual bananas. So that has to at least be a good start right?
Now you know that when I say something is super easy, I really do mean it!
I am all for recipes that take hardly any time to prepare, something that the kids can help out with, and are also very yummy.

I made them with banana and nutmeg, but you could use cinnamon if you preferred (I had run out of it, so nutmeg was my second choice, but still a good one.
