‘Tis the season to be jolly, and to send everyone you know a Christmas card. Your friends, your neighbors, family and pretty much every one you know!
This is definitely the start of the silly season.
It seems like you are running to the shops every 5 minutes for something else that you “need”, then rushing to get jobs done, as well as attending the kids Christmas school celebrations, work functions and every other social function that needs to be squeezed in before December 25th.
It’s like a whole years social events calendar must all happen in 24 days.
Phew, it’s exhausting!
One of those things that “needs” to be done is sitting down and writing Christmas cards, because we all have those few hours to spare right?
When I say “need”, of course, we don’t actually have to do it, but as tradition’s go, it seems to be the one that we keep going on with.
On one had this seems like a beautiful tradition. The opportunity to share Christmas wishes with those near and far, and update each other with everything that life is holding for you and the family.
On the other hand, it seems like a complete chore, not to mention a waste of money.
Wintery Christmas Cards
The choice of Christmas cards seems to become more and more limited each year (or at least it does here in Australia), yet the price is rising rapidly for really not great quality cards.
Now, I really don’t mean to be a “Bah Humbug” as I really do love hanging up all the Christmas cards I receive. I also love sending them (but I have to be in the right frame of mind with some nice Christmas music playing in the background!).
But what I do hate is going to shop after shop looking for a set of Christmas cards that doesn’t look completely dreary, or has a Koala in a Santa hat.(Yes they really do exist!) I love Koala’s and I love Santa hats, but really. What do they have in common for Christmas?
This is why that this year I decided to design my own printable Christmas cards. The best part is that I am giving them to you absolutely free.
I know, exciting right?
Now you only need to print as many as you actually need to send, and not buy more packs than you really need. This is going to save you a whole heap of cash.
Plus, do you find yourself loving one design in the pack but you end up being stuck with the other 3 designs?
Well that won’t be a problem with these printable Christmas cards because you only need to print the one’s that you actually want to use.
There are 4 designs in the collection and they are all on a separate page, so just print the design that you really truly love and forget about the rest.
Download Your Printable Christmas Cards
Are you ready to obtain your printable Christmas cards and get them written and posted?
You are soooo close to achieving this.
Ok, so follow these 4 easy steps and your cards can be written tonight. Seriously, this is one job you can tick off your list!
Step 1: Download the set of 4 Christmas cards from the free printable library.
Step 2: Use thick matte photo paper or white card stock to print your designs. The quality of paper will affect the print, which is why I love to use photo paper. You can however use whatever white card you wish.
Step 3: Choose the design that you would like to print, and print that page only. All 4 designs are together in the same file, but simply change your print settings to print only the page that you would like.
Step 4: Cut out the card and fold in half. Then simply write and send your Christmas cards.
The inside of the Christmas cards have been left blank for you to write your own Christmas message.
That’s really it!
Each card is sized 5×7″ and will fit into an A7 envelope.
This is my first collection of printable Christmas cards so I hope you love them as much as I do. I also hope that they save you a lot of time having to go card shopping!
