This stunning party was submitted by Laura of Make Life Lovely for her daughter’s birthday. I love the attention to detail that has been given from the chocolate seashells to the oyster pearl cookies.
This party has everything you need for the perfect under the sea birthday party.
Laura said about the party planning “My daughter’s birthday was at the end of summer, so we thought that an under the sea swimming party would be perfect! I wanted the colors of the party to be turquoise and white, and to have a soft, airy, feminine feel to it.
I live in San Diego and love going to the beach, so I looked around my house and gathered everything that would work for this party. The seashells, the net, the starfish, the coral, rocks, driftwood, metal crab holders, apothecary jars, cake plates, etc.
The best part of the party, was seeing the huge grin on my daughter’s face all night, and celebrating the wonderful little person that she is!”
DIY Under The Sea Theme Birthday Party Decoration
Laura did a fantastic job of the under the sea birthday party decoration and I love the Sea Shells Mixed Beach Seashells – Various Sizes up to 2″ Shells -Bag of Approx. 50 Seashellscollection of shells scattered over the table.
The use of graham cracker crumbs and brown sugar was also incredibly clever as a substitute for sand and really gave the feeling of being at the ocean.
Laura said “I freezer paper-stenciled a dolphin t-shirt and made a tutu for my daughter to wear, along with an easy starfish barrette.
Hanging above the food were some jellyfish, that I made out of white paper lanterns and clear plastic table covers. The kids loved these!”.
Under The Sea Birthday Party Food
Laura excelled in the food department at this party. ot only did she provide an amazing savory taco bar, but the selection of desserts was amazing.
I love how she incorporated fun under the sea elements into the food such as the Cybrtrayd N017 3D Shells Chocolate Candy Mold with Exclusive Cybrtrayd Copyrighted Chocolate Molding Instructionschocolate shells, sharks and even seaweed popcorn. It looked fantastic and I’m sure tasted absolutely delicious!
Laura said “We had a taco bar with tons of different toppings for guests to create their own tacos.
I wanted the treats to be turquoise and white too, so I bought blue and white saltwater taffy and gummy sharks, and then made some aqua-colored popcorn, aqua homemade suckers, and some fun oyster cookies that even had an edible pearl inside!
My favorite treat, though, was the edible sea glass, that looked so real, but tasted like mint.”.
An under the sea theme party is a delightful theme that will be attractive for kids and adults. You can really go to town with simple decoration that will really make the theme come alive.
Creating some fun ocean themed party food will maximise the theme and add a bit of extra fun.
If the kids love the beach, then this party will be an absolute hit.
