A spa party is the perfect party option for your teen or tween girl.
It’s fun, it’s pretty and it feels far more grown up than any other kind of party theme. For girls who want to be treated like young adults, this is the perfect way to show them they have reached the “big kid status”.
A spa party is the chance for girls to relax with their girlfriends, whilst also having fantastic fun at the same time.
This delightful spa party was submitted by Courtney of Glamour Avenue Parties.
The party was themed around Dylan’s Candy Bar and the outcome is simply sensational.
The party was styled with Dylan’s candy bar’s trade bright colors. I’m sure you have heard the phrase “like a kid in a candy store”? Well this party definitely delivers on that.
Think candy combined with pampering. The result is pure indulgence. This party has FUN written all over it!
Courtney said about the party planning: “I was contacted by my client, for her her daughter’s 10th birthday and she said her daughter wanted a colorful Dylan’s Candy Bar inspired spa party.
I was thrilled to oblige as there are so many creative directions you can go with a fun theme like this! My client’s adamant design request was to make sure it was colorful and the rest was up to me!”.
Setting The Scene Of A Spa Party
One thing you really want to keep in mind when creating a spa party at home is that you want the guests to be wowed when they walk into the room.
Think about when you walk into a real spa. First impressions count. You want to take one look and think “wow”.
This party certainly achieved that goal.
Courtney aimed to team vibrancy with relaxation. A combination of the Dylan’s candy bar trade vibrant colors with a relaxation of a spa party. The result worked perfectly.
A pamper station was set up for each of the girls as well as a make up station. Then there was of course the candy. Lots and lots of candy!
Spa Party Decoration
The party decoration is always the thing that stands out the most. It is the decor that creates the party vibe.
Courtney ensured that this party was a mix of sophistication and style, with a bright and vibrant color scheme. It worked perfectly.
Courtney said “I knew I wanted to keep the party colorful and sophisticated. I used fresh, white tablecloths and chairs, with vibrant chevron place mats to showcase the color.
The place settings included the supplies for the facial application activity and sweets.
Each girl also had a plastic beverage container with Dylan’s candy bar inspired tags. I kept the centerpiece simple and easy by using chocolate dipped marshmallows complete with pretty labels.
To follow through the Dylan’s candy bar theme, I used candy dots and swirly lollipops at the main table. These also doubled as the facial station.
I also used colorful gumballs at the make up station, which looked gorgeous against the pool backdrop. The entire party made me long for the lazy days of summer and poolside activities”.
Spa Party Activities
Every party needs to have organised activities, and the activities should be related where possible to the theme of the party. In the case of a spa party, the activities are easy to organize.
At this party, the girls had their own spa stations set up for them. All the tiny details had been thought of including having magazines on every chair for the girls to browse through.
Courtney said “The girls made gumball rings and necklaces. They also had their nails painted, and make up was applied in bright candy colors.”

The girls created their own gumball rings and necklaces. This party activity doubled up as a party favor for the girls to take home.
The DIY jewelry combined with a selection of candy from the candy bar ensured that the girls had some wonderful take home spa party favors.
A spa party should be a combination of relaxation and fun. The girls want to have a laugh with their friends, but also relish in the opportunity for a bit of pampering.
