Simple Chocolate Cake Recipe

If you are anything like me, hearing the words “simple” and “chocolate cake” in the same sentence starts getting you excited!

A good friend of mine was telling me about a simple chocolate cake recipe that she makes for her boys and that she can make it in just 1 minute!  Yes you did read that right….1 minute!!!

Do I have your attention now?

Well, as you can understand I wanted to know more about this amazing cake and didn’t quite believe it could be true. But, true to her word, she promptly made the cake and sent me these photos.

Of course, I wasn’t actually there to eat the cake, which was a little mean, but she was kind enough to share the recipe so that I (and you too) can make a chocolate cake in just one minute!!

Simple Chocolate Cake Recipe

♥ 1 Tbsp + 2 tsp (1 1/2 Tbsp) Cocoa powder

♥ 3 Tbsp Plain Flour

♥ 1 Tbsp + 2 tsp (1 1/2 Tbsp) Sugar

♥ 1/4 tsp Baking Powder

♥ 3 tsp Vegetable Oil

♥ 3 Tbsp Milk

♥ 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence

Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl or jug.

So there you have it, wasn’t that quick and easy!

How often have you sat in front of the Tv at night, with a sudden chocolate craving but you don’t have any chocolate in the house?  Well, now you have a solution to this problem and you don’t have to wait very long for it!

The great thing about this cake is that it makes individual portions so you can eat the WHOLE cake by yourself!

If you are short of some ideas for easy party food, this would also make an awesome choice.  It would be prefect to serve at dinner parties….a dessert with no fuss!

If that wasn’t enough to make you want to go and try this now, my friend also passed on another pearl of wisdom to save on the washing up!  She says we should mix all the ingredients in the ramekins or big coffee cups or soup mugs, so you eat out of the same bowl you made it in.  Genius!!

So has this simple chocolate cake recipe left you running for the kitchen?

I’ll see you again in one minute and you can leave me a comment to let me know what it tastes like!

    This sounds amazing!!!!

I always get put off making cakes as they seem to take a whole afternoon to make. The fact that this only takes a minute (plus a couple to mix) is great. Add in that there isn’t a lot of washing up and this cake is amazing!

Will be trying this later 🙂

It could be quite dangerous having this recipe couldn’t it Matt!! I think there is going to be a lot of chocolate cakes being made 🙂 I agree that the concept of ‘baking’ can be quite daunting for many people, so recipe’s like this are perfect. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Ha ha Allison, yes that is the only problem with this cake….it could be dangerous. But on a cold winter evening…there is nothing like it 🙂
