Holly did a fantastic job of creating so many fun activities for the kids. The set up is also truly amazing. There are so many awesome ideas here that you can use for your own party.
Paleontologist Birthday Party Decor
This paleontologist party was set up as a camp out so each of the budding paleontologists could rest easy after a busy day.
Everything was kept in a natural tone, including the tents which were covered in gorgeous fairy lights at their openings.
A display of balloons and a dinosaur backdrop really lifted the entire space.
The small table next to the paleontologist’s tent was adorned with a lamp, plate, dinosaur fossil cookie and a dinosaur.
Paleontologist Party Activities
A paleontologist birthday party is the perfect party to have activities. These are the type of activities that the kids are going to get excited about.
The activities were structured and set out to a timetable, so the kids knew exactly what they were doing and what was coming up next.
This is a great ideas as it allows the kids to get excited about the activities, but also stops them from trying to help themselves or asking you every 5 minutes when they can do the next activity.
A structured party helps to make an extra fun party!
This party had so many fun activities for the kids to be involved with. They included:
- A fossil dig
- Sedimentaty Mining
- Geode exploration
- Gem and mineral activities
- Other painted craft activities
- Star gazing
The sedimentary mining and geode exploration were fun for the kids to complete.
Besides, creating a little mess is what makes a paleontologist party that little bit more exciting!
A fossil dig will always be enjoyed by the children.
The dig can be made as big or small as you like depending on your environment and whether you are having the party indoors or outdoors.
This party had the dig indoors and set up in plastic tubs, with the kids using small paint brushes to execute their fossil discovery.
This would however work just as well if you have a sandpit outside, and give the kids beach spades and hand brushes to use instead.
A paleontologist party is a great theme for kids who are looking for something a little bit different.
Rather than purely holding a dinosaur party, this idea takes things to a different level and allows the kids to have some interaction with some messy but fun activities.
This is also a great theme of choice for older kids, who still love their idea of dinosaurs but want a party to feel a bit more grown up.
These party activities would allow engagement from the kids, whilst also feel like they are doing something extra special.
Thanks again to Holly for sharing this amazing party with us.
