Today’s post teaching you all about how to put together a kid’s place setting is courtesy of our contributor Blanca from Creativities Galore.
Hi, today I am sharing a different take on a kids place setting and a step by step on how easily you can create it yourself.
Not every time that you create a place setting for a party does it have to include a plate, you can use many other things to hold your food.
For example in the place setting I am sharing today I used a mini bucket as our place setting. It is a unique way to display the food at a kids party or in this case a back to school party.
Yes I said back to school party, so crazy right it feels like I just shared this kids graduation party with you yesterday.
Ok let’s get started!
First thing I did was grab my mini bucket, crinkle paper (for added height), mini chalkboard pick, and a clothespin.
I wrote “Back 2 School” on the chalkboard pick and attached it to the bucket with the clothespin then I added some crinkle paper to the inside of the mini bucket.
Next I folded a napkin in half and placed it diagonally inside.
The napkin serves 2 purposes, one to place the food on top of so that it doesn’t touch the crinkle paper and two so the kids can use it to clean their hands and cute little faces.
Next I added a fruit cup, I used strawberries because their is always a basket of them in my refrigerator and they are my kids favorite.
I also added a fork just in case the kids didn’t want to hold their strawberries.
That’s it!!
How easy was that right, I just love how it turned out. These food buckets will look great on the back to school party tablescape.
Do you plan a back to school party for your kids and their friends?

The simple ideas are often the best arn’t they, and kids would love these. Anything that is out of the ‘norm’ they go nuts for, and digging down into a little box…it’s a total winner 🙂
