Ok, so it is a little quirky, and it might send your tongue a weird green colour, but green beer certainly gets into the spirit of things for St Patrick’s Day don’t you think?
For those of you who would like to know how to make it, a tutorial has been added for you below. It is quite tricky, so please pay close attention to ensure you have understood correctly.
How To Make Your Green Beer
You will need to gather the following.
1. Beer
3. A beer glass!
Place a small amount of green food colouring into the bottom of the beer glass.
This only needs to be a small drop, otherwise it will really overpower the beer. This is a very important step!
Next, pour in the beer, but pour it into the middle of the glass to distribute the green colouring evenly.
For all the beer critics out there, yes we know that this is not the correct way or pouring a beer, and yes you will end up with a massive head on the top.
We do know the perfect way of pouring a beer, but hey….it’s not normal to drink green beer either is it, so just this once an exception can be made! Instead, enjoy the green mustache that you receive when you take your first swig!
So there you have it, the perfect green beer!!
Of course, if you like to drink a darker beer such as a stout, then the green look will be slightly different.
Due to the dark nature of the beer this wont change colour, but the head will turn a lovely green colour.
So be brave, and go for a nice BIG green head on your stout!
WARNING: Drinking green beer may lead to green teeth, tongue and lips!
Have you tried green beer before, and if not are you going to give it a whirl this year?

Such a great idea for St Patrick’s Day. All we need now is a green flake to go with that Guinness 😀
