I absolutely love Easter. It’s so much more relaxing than Christmas and everything around you just makes you want to smile. The gorgeous pastel coloring’s, the cheeky little Easter bunny and chicks, and Spring flowers. Everything about Easter is gorgeous.
I also love chocolate. I am as it happens a self obsessed chocoholic.
You could say that Easter is a bad time of year for me in that regard. As if keeping from eating chocolate all day everyday wasn’t hard enough, now every time I step outside the house it seems I am surrounded by pretty Easter eggs staring right at me.
Oh the struggle, not to consume those eggs. Yes, the struggle is real!
Whilst I love Easter eggs, they can be pretty expensive for what they are. Here is the mom coming out in me, weighing up the price of the egg compared to how much chocolate you actually receive.
I mean for one Easter egg, you could buy several bars of normal chocolate and at the end of the day, chocolate is chocolate right?
Ok, I have to admit that maybe the Easter eggs DO taste slightly different to normal chocolate bars. I think it has to to do with the thinness of the chocolate, but I really doubt my kids would notice the difference. They eat it so fast it barely touches the sides, so I think all slight differences are completely lost on them.
To kids, chocolate is chocolate.
But I get it. The dilemma is that these Eater eggs looks soooo pretty all dressed up in their adorable shiny wrappers and box’s. They look totally fun compared to a boring block of chocolate.
However, what if we made that boring block of chocolate fun! Yes it is possible.
Printable Candy Bar Wrappers For The Win
Ok, so you want to know how to make an ordinary block of chocolate look fun?
The best option that I can come up with is to cover the chocolate with cute printable candy bar wrappers. This certainly makes it look a whole lot more appealing for Easter, not to mention a whole heap of fun.
Easter Kids Activity:
Why not use these Easter candy bar wrappers and actually turn them into an Easter activity. It’s super easy.
For kids that love chocolate and coloring activities, these printable candy bar wrappers are a real win win situation.
If you are having an Easter gathering, then set up a table for the kids with a few printable Easter candy wrappers. Have some coloring pencils on hand (and maybe a few mini Easter eggs) and let them create their own designs for the candy bars. The kids will love personalizing their own bar and taking it home with them.
Simply by printing off one of the four Easter designs, you can now turn your chocolate bar into a super fun, cute and exciting Easter treat. And if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, you can do so and it won’t cost you a thing!
That’s right, I have added these designs into the free printable library which you can download right now. The candy wrappers are designed for Standard size Hershey bars, and I bet you even have one or two of those sitting in your cupboard right now.
What makes them extra fun?
Well not only are they a printable design, but your kids can enjoy coloring them in themselves. This makes each and every single design totally unique, and the kids can color them in their favorite colors to look exactly as they want.
Printable Easter Party Favor:
The printable candy bar wrappers would also make an awesome party favor to hand out at Easter. They would also be perfect if you are having guests over for dinner.
Kids can sit and enjoy coloring in their Hershey bars whilst the adults do (well the things that adults do). At least it will also stop the kids from eating chocolate just for a few minutes too.
Or perhaps you could use them to set up a table place setting. The Hershey bar could sit next to a pack of crayons and the kids will get super excited about the idea.
Free Printable Labels
Setting up your printable candy bar wrappers is super simple.
Step 1: Download the the Free PDF from the printable library.
Step 2: I recommend printing onto matte photo paper to give a nice finish. Unlike gloss photo paper, the matte coverage will still allow for the pretty coloring to occur.
That’s it, your done. Now the kids can start the fun part – the coloring.
Each label is sized 13.5 x 13 cm and are made for standard size Hershey bars (1.55oz).
You can either wrap the printable directly over the Hershey bar or you can first wrap the Hershey bar in aluminium foil and then place the wrapper on top.
This choice is entirely up to you on how you would like the candy bar to be presented. I had ran out of aluminium foil when I came to take the photos (oops), but I know you get the idea!
I hope that these printable candy bar wrappers are going to provide your kids with a whole heap of fun over the Easter period.Let’s stay in touch.
