Everyone knows that I have a sweet tooth, so it would probably come as no surprise that I’m sharing another dessert recipe with you.
Today it is all about the apple crumble!
This is one of the easiest desserts that you can make and is perfect for making as either one big crumble or as individual portions.
Apple crumble is the ultimate feel good dessert, especially on a cold winter’s night when tucked up on the sofa.
Sit back, relax and indulge in apple heaven!
Doesn’t it look delicious! The best thing is, it is incredibly easy to make. Trust me on this one!
First thing’s first, grab yourself some apples. Why not even throw in some pears!
Make your crumble mix and set aside whilst you prepare the apples.
All you need is flour, sugar and margarine and rub them all together until they form what looks like breadcrumbs.
This is a rustic dish, so don’t worry about making the crumbs all look the same size and perfect!
Tip…if you would like to make this a tad healthier, use wholemeal flour and raw sugar. I used that in this apple crumble and it still tastes just as good!
After you have made the crumble topping, put it aside whilst you peel, core and chop the apples.
Place them in your oven proof bowl and put in a couple of tablespoons of water. I used a dish that was 21cm wide and 7cm deep for this recipe.
You can sprinkle with extra sugar for sweetness, but if you are using eating apples, your apples are likely to be sweet enough already!
Sprinkle with some cinnamon if desired.
Simple add your crumble mix to the top of the apples and cook in the oven.
After only 30 minutes you can tuck into your delicious apple crumble.
Serve your apple crumble with ice cream, cream or simply on it’s own.
However you choose you can be sure that it will be absolutely delicious!
