Valentine’s day is almost here. Can you believe it?
It’s that time of year when everything you see in the shops is cute and cuddly with lots of red.
Lots and lots of red!
My daughter loves it. She always asks why Valentine’s day is not a holiday and why kids don’t get the day off school to celebrate. News flash kiddo, adults don’t get the day off to celebrate either!
It is however lovely to see the excitement and wonder in her eyes. Whilst she doesn’t actually have a “Valentine”, there is no reason why she can’t enjoy the spirit of the moment.
Get The Kids Involved With Some Valentine’s Day Fun
If you have checked out Pinterest recently you will see a ton of ideas for the kids to get involved with crafts and Valentines day treats. Well these Valentines coloring pages are going to be another thing that you can give the kids that you know they will love.
When my daughter saw them, she instantly asked if she could take them into school so that she could color them in with her friends during recess.
Sure. Why not. It’s a great idea!
You can often see groups of girls huddled together doing some kind of crafty thing during recess and this is a nice special activity for them to do so that they can also feel some of that Valentine’s day magic. Who knows, they may even just pass their coloring sheet to someone special.
All they need is the coloring pages and some pencils and they are good to go.
You don’t however need to restrict yourself to the older kids as younger kids will get just as much delight in them.
It is easy to pull these out at a mother’s group gathering and let the kids have some fun together whilst you catch up on a much needed cuppa!
How many coffee shops do you see now that offer coloring menu’s to the kids whilst waiting for their food.
Why do they do this?
It’s an easy way to keep kids entertained and it gives mom and dad a few much needed minutes of peace.
So use that philosophy and take them with you to that dinner date.
Don’t rely on a coffee shop to have an activity on hand, go in prepared! Besides, the kids will have a lot more fun coloring in one of these heart coloring pages rather than a coffee shop menu.
