I don’t know about you, but one of the things I LOVE about baby showers, are the desserts!  Most girls love their dessert, so what better way to spoil the mum to be than with a sugar high…he he.   Today’s feature was submitted by Janet of Sweet Temptations and showcases these gorgeous baby shower desserts for a pea in the pod theme.

Janet said about the party planning: “This was one of my very first dessert tables in which I was asked to create the cake, chocolate covered marshmallows, and chocolate covered oreos for my sister-in-laws baby shower.  Being that I was new to playing with fondant, making tiered cakes, and chocolate covered oreos I was under a bit of pressure, but thankfully to you tube and meeting such wonderful cake decorators I had the acquired knowledge and confidence to make such a fun and memorable dessert table”.

These baby shower desserts are nothing short of sensational and it is easy to see why Janet has done so well with her dessert business!  The detail in these desserts are outstanding and I absolutely love the pastel colour palette.  The pink, blue, yellow and green is so fresh and fun and perfect for the little twin’s to be.  The entire set us is sophisticated but also ultra baby!!

The cake is often the stand out feature on a dessert table and this cake is no exception.  What do you think about those two babies peeking out of the pea as a cake topper?  Don’t you think they are adorable?  It almost seems a shame to cut this beautiful cake!

If the cake wasn’t enough to make your mouth water, these baby shower desserts also included chocolate covered oreos and marshmallows.  They compliment the cake perfectly and it really looks like one dessert table you would not want to miss out on!

I would also love to work with fondant Cheryl….it makes such beautiful cakes! I can master fondant on cupcakes, but certainly not something on this scale! Janet is very talented indeed 🙂

I agree, it is a gorgeous theme for a twin baby shower. And when you have someone like Janet doing the desserts, you can’t go wrong 🙂
