There are so many girls birthday party ideas to choose from, that it can be difficult to know where to start. Hello Kitty parties are now very popular among young girls and it is easy to see why.
This Hello Kitty birthday party was submitted by Courtney of Glamour Avenue Parties for twin girls 8th birthday. I love how Courtney turned this party into a complete pamper package for the girls making it cute, vibrant and FUN!
Courtney said about the party planning: “I was contacted by my client to host a Hello Kitty beauty themed party for her twins 8th birthday. I had yet to design a Hello Kitty themed event so I was excited, but I only had 4 days to plan! The color palette inspiration came from favor buckets the client purchased months prior, which included light pink, fuschia, and purple”.
Hello Kitty Birthday Party Decorations:
Despite only having 4 days to plan this Hello Kitty birthday party, the party decoration is stunning. It just goes to show how easy it can be if you are clearly focused about the theme and the colour scheme. With those details in mind, the party decoration can easily take shape and you will be surprised at just what you can achieve. And yes, put your mind to it and you can achieve it too!!
I absolutely love the simplicity of Courtney’s design with the three toned colours. Together they are pleasing on the eye, yet vibrant and most importantly very very girly!!
Courtney said “I created place mats for each guest with a pink bow attached, mini gable boxes, and a beverage container with the Hello Kitty image to re-enforce the theme. Hello Kitty wears an oversized bow so I created pink felt hair bows for each guest to wear and secured them in the hair with a bobby pin. Easy peasy!”.
Party Food Ideas:
Everyone loves the party food and dessert tables are always an absolute hit. Presentation goes a long way to making a food table look attractive and this party nailed it! A birthday also isn’t complete without a birthday cake and I love the incorporation of the theme and the colours into this cake. It looks absolutely amazing and is well suited for a Hello Kitty Birthday Party.
Courtney said “In between all of the fun, guests were free to nosh on pinwheel fruit kebabs, popcorn balls, sweets, and sparkling pink lemonade. To top off the evening, everyone took a whack at an oversized Hello Kitty Pinata”.
Party Activities:
At a children’s party, it is important to have some structured activities in place to ensure that the children stay entertained. Trust me, you will agree with this if you have ever been to a party where the children are running around everywhere!
The age of the children will however alter the type of activity or games that you organise.
For girls??? It would be difficult for any little girl to resist a bit of pampering and to then show off their makeover in front of a photo booth!
Photo booth’s are easy to create and provide a lot of fun and entertainment for all guests. A Hello Kitty birthday party certainly provides a vibrant and fun photo booth.
Courtney said “The girls coloured Hello Kitty colouring pages, and made charm bracelets. They also had their nails painted, and make up applied all in the party colors. To make sure this was an event not to forget, guests took photos in front of the pink and purple back drop with Hello Kitty themed props. The props included glasses with bows, pink and purple phones, and over sized Hello Kitty faces”.
Party Favors:
It is a good idea for party favours to be arranged for the children to take home after the party. If you can incorporate these favours into the party, it makes life even easier because it is not an extra thing you have to think about!
Courtney said “The girls took home their Hello Kitty charm bracelets, bows and other fun favors”.
