When I was a child, one of the best Easter gifts I can recall getting is probably not what most adults would guess. It was not a big fancy egg, and it was not a whole heap of chocolate.
It was a simple egg carton, containing several miniature eggs.
I vividly recall being so excited at the selection of goodies in my egg carton and I kept it until all the other Easter treats had been consumed. Sometimes the simple ideas are the best ones!
So this year I thought I would indulge in holiday crafts and create an Easter box for my own daughter, niece and nephew.
I have designed some Easter printables to jazz up the egg carton, and you can download those printables for free at the end of this post.
I have created a printable for a little boy and girl and I have also designed a printable that can be attached to the inside of the egg box which you can personalise with the child’s name.
The printables can be attached using either glue or double sided sticky tape.
Simply obtain your egg box, print off your chosen printables, choose some Easter treats and you have the perfect Easter gift.
If you are feeling particularly in the crafty mode, you could paint your egg carton. Alternatively if you prefer the rustic look you can leave it exactly as it is.
I filled the bottom of the egg box with some shredded paper to give some colour, which also added as a nice resting area for the eggs.
The final result is something pretty adorable and I’m sure your kids will just love it. Anything that has a child’s name on it is instantly that little bit extra special.
If you prefer the idea of giving a gift that is not bulk standard then this could be just what you are looking for this year.
Have you ever given your child an Easter gift like this? What did they think?
Are you going to make your own holiday crafts this year rather than giving a standard shop bought gift?
Please leave you comments at the end of this post, it is always a pleasure to hear what you think.
