How To Make Easter Bunny Cupcakes
Remember when I said that bunny cupcakes were easy to make?
Well, now I am going to make good on that promise!
In just five simple steps, those adorable bunny faces will be staring right back at you.
Ok, let’s dive right into it shall we?
Step 1: Make The Cupcakes
Make your vanilla cupcakes with your own recipe or choose your favorite packet mix. It’s not about being fancy, so if a packet mix works for you, then use it.
I hardly ever make my own cupcakes from scratch and guess what. No-one ever notices!
Besides, less time spent making the cupcakes, means more time allowed for decorating. That’s the theory I am sticking with anyway.
How To Decorate An Easter Bunny Cupcake
Step 2: Make Bunny Ears
Have you ever wondered how to make the bunny ears for the cake? Well it’s actually a LOT easier than you think.
To make bunny ears for the cake all you need to do is simply cut marshmallows in half.
Press the cut side of the marshmallow into some sugar crystals and you have yourself some cute bunny ears!
Place the bunny ears firmly onto the top of the cupcakes.
Step 3: Create The Bunny Face
Now it is time to create the bunny cupcakes faces.
Using M&M’s, place two brown ones in the center of the cupcake.
Next place a red M&M in the middle underneath for the nose.
Step 4: Add Cheeks And Teeth
Add the bunny cupcakes cute little cheeks and teeth.
Grab the pink mini marshmallows and cut them in half. Place them directly underneath the red M&M.
Next, cut a white mini marshmallow into triangles.
One marshmallow should make 4 teeth.
If the kids are helping to make these bunny cupcakes, you might want to do the cutting of the marshmallows for them as it can become quite fiddly.
Step 5: Add Bunny Whiskers
Draw on the bunny whiskers with an edible icing pen to complete the look.
That’s it, you are done. I promised that they would be easy didn’t I!
So the question is are you going to make them yourself, or are you going to let the kids be creative with you?
Whether you choose to make them for an Easter party or just enjoy together as a family, they will go down an absolute treat.
Everyone loves a cupcake and when you can make them look a bit extra special for an occasion they will always be well received. I think us adults love these kind of cute cupcakes as much as the kids do!
I’m pretty confident that these Easter bunny cupcakes will become a favorite year after year.
