How To Make Oyster Cookies
  • 200g Self Raising Flour
  • 25g Corn Flour
  • 100g Butter
  • 100g Caster Sugar
  • 6 drops of Vanilla Essence
  • 1 Egg
  1. Rub the butter and flour together and add sugar.
  2. Add the vanilla essence to lightly a whisked egg and pour into the dry ingredients.
  3. Stir with a palette knife to form a dough.
  4. Using your hands, kneed lightly and form mixture into a ball on a floured board.
  5. Roll to a ¼ inch thick and cut into approx 24 cookies
  6. Place on baking tray, which has been greased and floured or lined with grease proof paper.
  7. Prick cookies with a fork
  8. Bake for 10 minutes at 175 degrees or until golden brown
  9. Leave on tray until set
  10. Lift off carefully onto rack to cool
