In step 7 of the party planning checklist, we looked at Food and Drinks.
When you are planning a party, you don’t always need to spend a lot of money on catering.
If you have set your budget from step 1 of the party planning checklist, you will know how much you have to spend. Purchasing cakes can eat up your cash, so if you want to save a bit of money, you may wish to think about cooking your own cake, or if you are not brave enough get a friend of family member to do it for you!
Children’s birthday parties are the perfect time to brush off your apron and get in the kitchen.
There are some amazing designs that can be made; your kids will love them, and think you are just absolutely amazing for creating something so spectacular!
Lets take a look at a Lollipop Cake:
This cake was made for a little boy’s first birthday and what a perfect choice it was.
It is so bright and colorful just how lollipops should be.
Add a few lollies on the side for decoration and it’s finished.
This cake just has “eat me” written all over it!
Who wouldn’t want to eat it.
And once cut, it looks even more delicious:
It’s incredibly hard to resist a chocolate cake, and this one was no exception…..it tasted amazing!
Of course another bonus of baking your own cake is you can reap all the compliments afterwards about how good it looked and tasted.
Plus of course it is lovely to be able to put a special touch onto a birthday party…after all…your little one deserves it!
