FruChoc Party

Do you love Chocolate?  You are going to love this!

FruChoc’s are a South Australian delight and it is easy to see why.  Apricot and peach balls covered with chocolate, what is there not to like!

But lets take things a little further.  What about your favourite chocolate recipes using FruChocs….now we are talking!

My mother’s group decided to hold a FruChoc party in celebration of all things chocolate!!!

Using the party planning checklist, it was a simple and easy party to plan and we all had a lot of fun.

The Party Budget:

Before I start any party planning, I always set a budget, as discussed in Step 1 of the party planning checklist.

We all bought our little ones a FruChoc appreciation society onesie (they were far too cute to resist!).  $15 each…bargain!

How could we not have bought these onesies…..our little one’s look so cute!

We all made a recipe each which allowed us to spread the cost between us.

The Party Theme:

Step 3 of the party planning checklist was pretty simple to work out.  It was completely FRUCHOC based.

We knew we would have a ‘sugar high’ after the party, but we were prepared for this and we were committed to the cause!

Party Decorations:

The enjoyable part of any party planning is step 5 of the party planning checklist: The decorations.

FruChoc wrappers are burnt orange, so this was used as the colour theme throughout.

We had helium balloons for decoration and also as an item for the babies to play with.  It was also quite amusing to see their little faces as the balloons kept climbing to the ceiling everytime they let go.

I purchased the helium balloons a day in advance, so made sure that I had gel put into them to make them last longer!

Food and Drink:

Step 6 of the party planning checklist: Food and Drink was based soley around the theme of the party. We had an entire morning of gorging on Fruchoc delights.

Brownies are always a winner, but add FruChoc to them and …..yum……..

Some Chocolate crackles for the kids, although I’m not sure that the kids actually got to eat any of them!!

A chocolate theme party wouldn’t be complete without some truffles into the mix…..

Rocky road is another chocolate winner.

Cheesecake…what can I say about this cheesecake.  Well…yes, it did put weight on the hips just by looking at it…..but oh it was SO worth it!

And purely for something to break the chocolate taste…we had some ice-cream to cleanse the palate….with FruChoc inside of course!

Music:

Step 8 of the party planning checklist could not be overlooked at this party.

The Wiggles made an appearance, plus our own rendition of “If you love FruChoc’s and you know it clap your hands….”.  Sugar rush had occurred at this point!
