There is so much comfort to be had in enjoying a simple cookie, don’t you think? And if that cookie happens to be chocolate….well….it puts a huge smile on my face! This chocolate cookie recipe is incredibly easy to make and tastes delicious.
It was my daughter’s second birthday recently and I wanted to make some no fail cookies for her party. I have used this recipe so many times and it is always a winner.
For her first birthday I made these cookies into butterfly party favors but this year I decided to go simply with a ….number 2 cookie!
These cookies were a hit with both the adults and the children, so as far as a successful chocolate cookie recipe goes….this one is it!
They are so incredibly easy to make and I have the recipe here for you.
To start simply mix the cocoa powder, flour and baking powder together in a bowl.
Beat the softened butter and sugar together, then mix in the egg.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix together to form a dough.
Separate the dough into two or three piles and flatten it. Wrap each piece of dough in cling warp and place in the fridge for 2 hours.
After refrigeration, roll out the dough and cut your cookies with your desired cookie cutter.
Place the cookies on a lined baking tray and place in the oven for 8 minutes.
The chocolate cookie recipe is that simple. All you need to do now is make a cup of tea and enjoy!!!
Here is the recipe for you to print and use over and over again….and trust me…you will!
Are you going to give this chocolate cookie recipe a try? I would love to know what you think of them….I hope you find them as delicious as I do!
